Kobayashi packed down a whopping 58 brats and buns to win a prize of $8000 then settled in for a night of pure pain. I just don’t get this competitive eating stuff. I mean it is torture just for the chance of being the person who can eat the most “fill in the blanks”. You get your name in the paper and very lousy prize at most of these events anyway. I’ve actually heard rumors of people getting injured doing this but haven’t verified it so any readers out there have a verified story of someone getting injured please comment and provide a link.
